HOW TO DEAL WITH COBWEBS.

Do you struggle with cobwebs? If so you are not alone. Many homeowners battle with cobwebs which make house cleaning very difficult. Spiders are in every home and dealing with their cobwebs is a necessary evil.

So today we are going to learn some better ways of dealing with cobwebs so that your home can stay clean.

1.Instead of cleaning the cobwebs once a month, why not do it once a week? During your weekly routine house cleaning try to remember to knock down those cobwebs that are just starting to form. This will discourage spiders from hanging out in your home and help keep your home always clean.

2.If you simply hate touching cobwebs, a great way to rid your home of them is with your vacuum. Many vacuums come with a long extension that is perfect for sucking up those pesky cobwebs. Just remember to clean out your vacuum after you are done.

3.Spray some peppermint oil in the corners of your home, Spiders and other insects simply hates the smell of peppermint. So after you are finished cleaning spray some peppermint oil around the corners of your home, this will sent off spiders to go build their webs somewhere else and away from your home.

4.Hire someone else to do it for you; Are you simply terrified of spiders? If you are, why not hire someone to come into your home and clean them for you? A house cleaning service will gladly handle this dirty job for you and also clean the entire inside of your home at the same time!

5.Have your home professionally sprayed; Another way to keep spiders at bay is by having a professional pest control company come in and treat your home for bugs. This will get rid of any bugs that might be in your home and the spiders will move to another location to find food.

NOTE

Now that you know several ways of dealing with cobwebs, its time you get it to work. Spiders can be our friends but only if they stay outside and away from our homes. So what are you waiting for, start cleaning today! .

HOW TO SCHEDULE EFFECTIVE HOME CLEANING ROUTINE

Make a house cleaning schedule that works for you, not the other way around. With a simple cleaning routine of a little bit of planning, and a few smart strategies, you can learn how to keep a house clean by falling into a cleaning routine that meets your needs.

let's be clear, there isn't a magic solution to maintaining a clean and organized home. It would be great if a quick shout out to your virtual home assistant would scrub the floors and pick up all the clutter. But until that technological advance arrives, establishing a cleaning routine that meets your needs and fits with your housekeeping philosophies is the next best thing. Cleaning routines are not one size fits all, so before you bust out the duster and rags, take a little time to strategize.

if you crave for cleanliness and top notch order, you can get there, without letting chores take over your calendar.

As you put together your house cleaning schedule, keep that sentiment in mind and use it as a guidepost to check yourself, asking

Does X approach really match what a clean house means to You?

Determine your comfort level of neat and clean.

What is on your non negotiable list?

A clean kitchen and bathroom might be a must, but shelves or door frames that don't always pass the white glove test may be acceptable. Likewise, keeping public rooms living and dining rooms neat may be important to you, while you may be less vigilant about your bedroom or hobby space.

DEALING WITH HARMATTAN

The harmattan season here in Nigeria is still very much around and you should still be noticing the build up of dust in your house and offices.

The harmattan season is usually a dry and dusty period associated with low humidity. During harmattan a dry and dusty wind blows southwards from the Sahara across the country, it occurs between the end of November and March each year.

It is important to clean your house regularly as exposure to dust can cause many respiratory illnesses such as asthma, sore throat, cold and catarrh.

HOW TO GET RID OF DUST DURING HARMATTAN

1.Keep your windows shut; to prevent the buildup of dust ensure that you keep your windows closed as much as you can during this season.

2.Dusting; A damp cloth is all you need to pick up dust from hard, smooth surfaces.

3.Sweeping; Choose a good broom or brush that is appropriate for sweeping.

4.Vacuuming; For those who have the luxury of using a vacuum cleaner, a vacuum is actually better to use when you have carpeting and rugs in the house.

5.Mopping; Once you are done dusting and sweeping ensure that you follow up by mopping your floor, make sure you change the dirty mop water a lot otherwise you will end up mopping your floors with dirty water.
